Please read the following terms and conditions of use and disclaimer carefully before using this website (the “site”). By using this site, you agree to these terms and conditions. We intend to protect your personal information and to maintain its quality. We implement appropriate measures and processes, such as using encryption when transmitting certain sensitive information, to help us to keep your information secure and to maintain its quality.
The Shreveport Tax does not rent or sell personally identifiable information (i.e., information such as name, address, phone number, e-mail, etc., that identifies a user as a particular person), nor would the Shreveport Tax exchange or trade such information with third-parties without a user's explicit permission. The Shreveport Tax does not disclose credit card or other personally identifiable financial information other than as necessary to complete a credit card or other financial transaction, or upon explicit permission from the applicable user. All such use by the Shreveport Tax of financial information shall be subject to the section of this policy on financial issues, set forth below.
This site uses a secure server for conducting online services. All credit card and other payment information that you transmit to us will be protected by TLS v1.2 encryption technology; provided your browser is properly configured and your computer is operating properly. Security technology requires that you are using a reasonably current browser that is capable of TLS v1.2 encryption. Current browsers provide visual cues to the visitor that the online service is secure. In the bottom of the browser you should see a key or lock. If the key is not broken or the lock is locked, then you are on a secure site. If not the site is not secure; you should not trust the transmission of personal information to the site. With these security measures in place, you can also feel confident in every credit card transaction you make.
The taxpayer is responsible for making payments timely to avoid any penalty & interest or other costs due to untimely payment. Serious penalties & interests and other costs may accrue if deadlines required by law are not met. Information regarding these deadlines can be found elsewhere. However, a taxpayer's misunderstanding of any information will not constitute grounds for waiver of additional costs assessed due to late payments. Should you have any doubt concerning information regarding your payments, we recommend that you consult the Shreveport Tax or your legal representative. Should you make an online payment, you must print and retain a confirmation of that payment. This confirmation is available for printing after you make a payment and the time and date thereon is the time your payment was accepted by the online system. The time and date of that confirmation will be the date of the payment regardless of when it is downloaded to the Shreveport Tax host computer. After your payment is downloaded to the Shreveport Tax host computer, you will receive an official receipt as provided by State law.
The Shreveport Tax & Pay Taxes website makes no guarantees, promises or warranties regarding the accuracy of the information provided in this site. Taxpayers should be especially cautious regarding amounts due from midnight until 8:00 am daily. Balances should be considered unreliable during these hours. During this period updates are being made to and from the host computer.
The Shreveport Tax, the taxing jurisdictions for which they collect and the processor of electronic payments assume no responsibility should incorrect information be entered by the taxpayer.
